SHRM RECERTIFICATION PROCESS
As a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional
(SHRM-SCP), you already recognize the relevance and importance of SHRM certification.
Recertification is how you will continue to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of
the profession.
All certifications are valid for three years. Recertification requires SHRM certified
professionals to earn 60 professional development credits (PDCs) every three years, or
retake the certification exam.
There are numerous ways to earn PDCs, from attending conferences and seminars to
volunteering and contributing resources to the advancement of the HR profession.
Within the OpenSesame Plus catalog, a number of courses from our global publishers have
been approved to help you obtain SHRM recertification credits. Or, you can attend any
upcoming OpenSesame webinar to earn PDCs. Each hour-long webinar qualifies for one
SHRM PDC.
Over 150 approved courses offering SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs).
