The gap between well-meaning companies desiring to bring about DEI change and those engaging in action is considerable but technology can bridge the disparity. DEI technology solutions may use AI/ML and advanced analytics to provide granular insight into such areas as talent acquisition, advancement, well-being, and retention. 1 Additional solutions can assist leaders by providing objective feedback to reduce the probability of bias-creep. The right technology can aid in following employee participation in DEI activities and track both their participation in Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and inclusion in cross-functional teams. Technology can also help increase self-service for learning, career planning and equitable performance management by putting action in the hands of individuals. Integrating DEI technology into hiring practices ensures greater equity by reducing bias and helping users focus on data to promote greater objectivity during candidate reviews. Resume anonymization and contextual analysis to remove unconscious preferences in job descriptions is another advantage of the right DEI tech stack.
