When the Rules Change, Creativity Is King Understanding Collaboration Ambitious Mindset 3 It doesn't matter if you have just entered into your title as an Associate or if you are the CEO of your company, finding purpose in your job can be the catalyst to your career as well as the success of your company. Pushing yourself to recognize the value of your work and how it contributes to the bigger picture can be a great way to find the fuel you need as a leader as well as helping others find theirs! It is the beginning of a new year and it is time to reawaken the passion for your role! Think back to the moment that you finally received the role you are in today. Remember what that felt like and the ferocity in which you did everything with? Use those feelings to transform what that looks like and feels like today. Maybe instead of excitement you feel proud or grateful. Whatever you are feeling, take this moment and allow it to be a reminder throughout the year. Having ambition can be a powerful motivating force to help you achieve your goals. When you have ambition, you can access your inner strength and resilience to overcome obstacles and help you stay focused on the things that matter. When it comes to leading others, there is no doubt we live in an era where most will agree that it is vital to their roles to have a sense of purpose. In week 1 we explored your personal sense of purpose. This week let's take a look at how to help others find purpose. Innovation is an essential characteristic for any leader because it encourages creative thinking and problem-solving that can help the organization move forward. Additionally, it allows you to stay ahead of the competition and ensure the organization is making progress towards its goals. Last week we took a look at innovation. Creativity and innovation often are mistaken as the same thing. However, creativity is the inception of a thing while innovation is the product of that creative idea. You may not believe that creativity lives in you but it lives in all of us, it just may manifest in different ways for different people. Leaders who can create collaboration with others can leverage the unique talents and perspectives of their team members to create more effective solutions and ultimately achieve greater success. Additionally, it is important for leaders to learn to collaborate with their colleagues. Remember, youneed diverse perspectives in order to optimize and having a title never changesthat fact.
