Tara Cooper has over 20 years of experience addressing issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion. She has worked collaboratively with organizations to build skills, strategies, and capacity to advance and sustain equity and inclusion at every level of the organization. In coaching leaders, the focus is cultural awareness and growth mind-set, personal leadership practice, resource alignment, policy, and community engagement. Through equity audits, strategic planning, coaching, and professional development, Ms. Cooper creates opportunities for sustainable change—demonstrated in policy and practice, equitable hiring and retention strategies, and diverse community and stakeholder engagement. In addition to her professional experience in advancing equity, she also holds a master’s degree in intercultural communications and is currently completing her doctorate in adult learning and leadership.

April Allen has acted as a consultant and trainer to executive and senior management on various DEI programs. She is also the best-selling author of the children’s books entitled, I Love Being Me and It’s Nice to be Nice which helps children focus on embracing racial and ethnic diversity. April’s unique background includes a Juris doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Ethnic Studies and Political Science, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Washington.
